A Galloway Township man has been sentenced to prison in connection with a domestic violence assault that occurred last year at a local hotel.

According to information released by authorities, 50-year-old Naaron Reed was sentenced on Friday, April 24, 2026, by Superior Court Judge Joseph Levin to three years in New Jersey State Prison.
The sentence is subject to the No Early Release Act, requiring Reed to serve 85% of his term before becoming eligible for parole.
The charges stem from an incident on February 16, 2025, when Galloway Township Police responded to the Red Roof Inn & Suites for a reported domestic violence assault.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim who stated that Reed, identified as her husband, placed his arm around her neck and strangled her before throwing her to the floor.
Authorities said the victim was able to break free and escape into a bathroom, where she called 911. Reed was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
On January 16, 2026, Reed pleaded guilty to second-degree aggravated assault involving a domestic violence victim.
