Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a string of attempted burglaries reported overnight in multiple communities.
Just after midnight, police departments in Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge were notified of several incidents in which suspects arrived in a vehicle and attempted to force their way into homes by kicking in doors before fleeing.
One of the reported incidents occurred in the 200 block of Paterson Avenue.
The suspects were described only as males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. They were last seen fleeing the area in a black sedan.
No injuries have been reported, and it is unclear whether any of the attempted break-ins were successful.
All related incidents remain under active investigation.
Authorities are asking residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or information that could assist investigators.
