Authorities in Ocean County announced that on November 25, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Lakewood Township Police and Fire Departments responded to a reported structure fire on 5th Street.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer stated that upon arrival, emergency personnel observed an active fire on the second floor of the structure.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, according to Ocean County officials.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit-Arson Squad, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department Detective Bureau, and Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office.
