Burlington County authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a person in a section of Willingboro Saturday night.
A preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately 11:40 p.m., police responded to reports of a crash in the vicinity of 4296 US-130
Officers arrived at the scene and found a car slammed into a tree with a person inside.
According to the preliminary investigation, emergency crews entered the vehicle and found a seriously injured victim suffering a bullet wound in his shoulder.
Police say the victim was rushed to an area hospital in serious but stable condition.
Authorities are determining what the circumstances were that led up to the incident.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
