Detectives are investigating reports of a shooting that occured at about 2:45 am this morning in the area of Cheeques Gentleman's Club, 1230 East Linden Avenue.
Police say a short time later, a 30-year-old man arrived at RWJUH Rahway hospital with multiple gun shot wounds.
Authorities say he was transferred to Newark University Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
East Linden Avenue remains closed between Willow Glade Road and South Park Ave.
