Police and EMS are on the scene of shots fired with two people injured at this time in the city.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 50's block of Hillyer Street at around 9 p.m. where officers arrived to find two people injured by gunfire according to reports.
A male victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark suffering serious injuries after being struck in the neck.
EMS also transported a female victim to University after she suffered injuries to her chest from apparent gunfire.
There is a crime scene established and an active investigation underway.
There have been no reports of arrests.
