The Essex County Prossecutors Office has been requested to the scene of a pedestrian strike with serious injuries reported in West Caldwell.
According to preliminary reports,'emergency responders rushed to the 800 block of Bloomfield Avenue shortly before 8:15 PM where rescue crews found the severely injured victim laying on the ground at that location.
EMS transported the victim to St. Joseph's hospital in Paterson while police closed off Bloomfield Avenue in both directions to conduct the accident investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
