Warrant Issued for Newark North Ward Shooting Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is seeking the public’s help in locating Richard D. Dinnocenzio, 38, of Newark, who is wanted for a North Ward shooting on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Authorities said at approximately 12 p.m., officers responded to University Hospital on a call of a 39-year old male victim with a gunshot. The suspect shot the victim during an argument.

The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury and was treated and released.

Detectives have developed evidence that Richard D. Dinnocenzio is a suspect in this shooting.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
