Warrant Issued for Irvington Man Wanted for Shooting at his Child's Mother in Newark

A warrant has been issued for Gregory McPherson, 25, of Irvington, for a domestic violence shooting Friday on South 13th Street in Newark.

According to police, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Newark Police responded to a call of shots fired at the location.

A female victim reported that a McPherson, the father of her child, shot at her following a verbal altercation.

The Honorable Wanda Nieves, J.M.C., issued a warrant for the arrest of McPherson for Aggravated Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and related weapons charges.

**These are mere allegations lodged against McPherson. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law once he is captured or surrenders to authorities**.
