UPDATE: Woman Found Shot Inside Vehicle in Linden Wendy’s Parking Lot

Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a 35-year-old Elizabeth woman injured in a parking lot on Monday evening.

 

According to a statement released to RLS Media Tuesday morning, the incident occurred just after 7 p.m. on September 15, at 709 S. Wood Avenue. 

Officers responded to reports of shots fired and discovered the victim seated inside a vehicle, suffering from a single gunshot wound. 
 

Social media reports suggesting that residents heard as many as five shots from the parking lot have not been confirmed by Linden Police

Emergency personnel treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to University Hospital in Newark, where she is being treated for injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

 

The case remains under active investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau.
