UPDATE: New Jersey Shooting Victim Succumbs to Injuries; Investigation Underway

Detectives are delving into the details of a fatal shooting that took place on November 16 in Camden City.

AdThe incident, which initially left a male victim critically injured, resulted in his death days later, as announced by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

The shooting occurred around 8:23 p.m. on November 16. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert and subsequent 911 calls.

Camden County Police officers rushed to the scene in the 200 block of North 33rd Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, identified as 29-year-old Edward Ross of Camden City, was promptly transported to Cooper University Hospital.

AdDespite the best efforts of medical professionals, Ross remained in critical condition until November 21, 2023.

Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:28 p.m.

This case is currently an active and ongoing investigation. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department are jointly working on the case.

Detective Cody Skinner of the Prosecutor’s Office and Detective Jake Siegfried of the Police Department are leading the investigative efforts.
