NJ State Police are looking into the cause of a crash that killed a real estate agent from Maplewood Wednesday morning.
According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. in the eastbound local lanes near milepost 52 in Union Township
Police report that a BMW rear-ended a tractor-trailer at which point both vehicles caught fire.
Officials said the driver of the BMW, Mr. Kadeem Buckham, 29, of Maplewood, sustained fatal injuries and the passenger, a 28-year-old female also from Maplewood, sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the crash.
State police closed all local eastbound lanes for approximately four hours.
