Union TD Bank Robbed at Knifepoint; Suspect Sought

The Union Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of the TD Bank located at 995 Morris Avenue.

Dispatchers received a call at 1:37 p.m. on Jan. 13th from a bank employee who reported that they were just held up.  

Officer Sal Valentino was the first to respond and determined that the suspect had produced a knife and had already fled from the bank on foot.  

Officers and detectives checked the area of the bank, but did not find the suspect or any evidence of the crime.  

No one in the bank was injured during the robbery.  

The suspect was described as a heavyset older black male who displayed a hold up note and got away with several hundred dollars.
