Union County Towns Prepare for National Night Out Festivities

Union County towns prepare for this year's National Night Out festivities.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community relationship in fun and a positive filled environment.

Neighborhoods nationwide host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events that feature police vehicles, safety demonstrations and often include giveaways.

**Clark:**

The Clark Police Department invites the community to this year's 4th Annual National Night Out. The event will be held on Tuesday August 1 from 6 – 9 p.m. in the parking lot of Arthur L. Johnson High School.

**Cranford:**

Cranford’s National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Patrolman Robert F. Hand Plaza and on the front lawn of the Cranford Police Department headquarters. This year's festivities include a blood drive, DJ, face painting, animal performers, a rock wall, bungee run, among other games and activities.

**Fanwood: **

Fanwood’s National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 1 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Patrolman Robert F. Hand Plaza located at 75 N Martine Avenue.

**Summit: **

This year's Summit National Night Out event will be held at Village Green, located at 356 Broad Street in Summit. Among the activities expected for the night are a live concert, obstacle courses, bounce houses, Dunk a Cop Dunk Tank and displays, demos by Summit Police, Fire, EMS, and Public Works

and so much more. The festivities will begin by 6 p.m.
