Two-Alarm Fire Destroys House in Teaneck

Firefighters battled a raging A two-alarm fire that gutted a home in Teaneck this morning.

According to preliminary reports, the fast moving fire appeared to have started on a front porch shortly before 9:30 a.m. at 1427 Aspen Terrace and extended up the front of the home before it entered both floors of the house.

Utility crews disengaged electrical power lines that had fallen onto the street in front of the home apparently causing some difficulty battling the fire.

Firefighters received some mutual assistance from Englewood and Teaneck to bring the blaze under control in about one hour.

No other structures were damaged according to reports.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There were no injuries reported.
