A stove is being blamed for an evening fire that damaged a private community home in Scotch Plains.
Scotch Plains crews arrived to the 30’s block of Wareham Court for a structure this evening.
The one person inside escaped the home, escaped unharmed, according to officials.
Although the cause of the fire remains under investigation, appears to have started in the home’s stove fire.
Crews from Fanwood, Clark, Westfield, and Plainfield responded to the scene.
