Camden County authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a man near a Brooklawn motel on Saturday night.
Police were called to the 800 block of Crescent Boulevard to investigate reports of an injured person at approximately 11:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, reports say they found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the chest in the rear of the motel.
EMS transported the victim to Cooper Medical Center for treatment.
UPDATE Camden County Proscutor's Office 11AM: “Last night at approximately 11:57 p.m, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Brooklawn Police Department responded to reports of a man who was shot at the Motel 6 located at 801 Crescent Boulevard, and the shooter possibly still on scene. When police arrived, they located the victim, a 35-year-old man from Philadelphia, shot. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently receiving treatment. Investigators were able to determine that the shooter fled the scene before police arrived”.
