UPDATE: Shooting Kills Man, Injures Another in Camden

A shooting that occurred in Camden on Apr. 14th left a man dead and a local man injured.

Camden County police were on patrol near North 5th and Grant streets when they heard multiple gunshots in the area of North 4th and York streets at approximately 8:17 p.m.

When the officers arrived, they located the victim, Everado Bello, 26, of Camden, laying on the sidewalk on the 900 block of North 4th street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Camden County police rushed Everado Bello to Cooper University Hospital.

Later that day, detectives were informed that a 39-year-old Camden man was brought to the hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Detectives learned that he had been on the 900 block of 4th street at the time of the shooting.

Police said Everado Bello succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on April 15th at approximately 8:27 a.m.

The surviving 39-year-old man is currently receiving treatment.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
