EMS transported a male pedestrian who was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle on a Union street this evening to an area hospital .
This incident happeneing in the 400 block of Chestnut Street just before 7:30 this evening sending emergency responders to the scene to assist the victim and investigate the cause of the accident.
Union Police closed off Chestnut Street between Vassar and Renner Avenues with local traffic detoured for the investigation.
