An investigation into a pedestrian strike that left a person injured on a busy road in Howell Township Sunday night is underway.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., emergency responders rushed to the northbound lanes of Route 9 after receiving reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found seriously injured but conscious and alert individuals lying on the ground after a car struck them at that location.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment and their condition could not immediately be confirmed.
Howell police closed both northbound lanes on Route 9 for two hours for the investigation.
Police reported no other injuries.
