EMS transported a 26-year-old male to University Hospital in Newark after gunfire struck him late Friday night.
According to preliminary reports the shooting happened in the vicinity of 323 Henry Street at approximately 11:27 p.m. where an unknown gunman arrived at that location and fired shots at the victim.
The suspect then fled the scene and remains at-large and the victim's condition was not reported as life-threatening.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
