Authorities in Orange are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in the city early this morning.
According to reports, reports of shots fired sent cops to the area of Center Street and Chapman Street at around 4 a.m. where arriving units located a male victim who was struck by gunfire at that location.
The victim reported to police that while in the area, he heard gunfire, then noticed that he was shot to the foot.
Police canvassing the area found several shell casings but no suspects reports said.
The man was transported to University Hospital in Newark where his injuries were not reported as life threatening.
The motive is under investigation and there have been no arrests made.
