Police in Orange are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in the city last night.
Reports of shots fired sent cops to the 500 block of Chestnut Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. where officers located the victim suffering injury from apparent gunfire.
The victim was transported by EMS to University Hospital in Newark where he was only reported to be in serious condition.
A crime scene was established where cops searched for evidence and a possible suspect.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
The identity of the victim and the motive for the shooting is under investigation.
