EMS transported one person to University Hospital in Newark after gunfire erupted in the city late last night.
Several police units rushed to the 100 block of North Day Street at around 10:30 p.m. after reports of shots fire.
Arriving officers located the victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound and evidence of gunfire that happened in the area.
There were no immediate reports of arrests.
