Ocean County Drug Investigation Leads to 8 Arrests; Drugs, Weapons Seized

Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato and Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little today announced arrests in a cooperative drug investigation by the  Brick Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group and Toms River Police Department.

Officials say together, the partnering agencies arrested eight individuals, confiscated a loaded 380 semi-automatic handgun, 650 wax folds of suspect heroin, quantities of suspect Cocaine, MDMA/Molly and marijuana. 

The investigation into the possession of the weapon is continuing to determine future charges.

According to authorities, the investigation, begun earlier this month, culminated with surveillance of a meeting between the arrested subjects held at a 160 Greenwood Loop residence in Brick on June 14th. Immediately after the meeting broke up the partnering agencies executed a search warrant of the residence and conducted four motor vehicle stops across ocean county resulting in the arrest of eight individuals from four Ocean County towns.

Below is a list of all those arrested and charged as followed;

Jahquel Steven Archer, 23, of Jackson, was charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance three counts (heroin, cocaine and Molly), Possession w/ intent to distribute same three. counts.  Lodged in Ocean County Jail.

Dennis Joseph Adametz, 36, of Manchester, NJ, is held on traffic warrants out of Toms River, Manchester and Wall.  Lodged in Ocean County Jail.

Davon Dennis Carrasquillo, 20, of 8 Berkshire Court, Brick, NJ, is held on criminal and traffic warrants out of Toms River and Lacey.  Lodged in Ocean County Jail.

 

John Rivera, of 160 Greenwood Loop, Brick, NJ, is charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Processed and released.

Janine Stefanelli, 35, of Toms River, NJ, is charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substance three (3) counts.  Processed and released.

Joseph Spamponato, of 5 Jackson, NJ, is charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance, Title 39 summons CDS in motor vehicle and improper lane change.  Processed and released.

Ryan Murrin, 26, of Brick, NJ, is charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (heroin and cocaine), Possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams, Possession Intent to Distribute, Title 39 summons CDS in motor vehicle and driving while suspended.  Processed and released.

Jonathan Lagrou, 30, of Toms River, NJ, is charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (heroin).  Processed and released.

The media and public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
