Nutley Police are investigating two early-morning incidents involving a home burglary and an attempted residential break-in late Thursday night into Friday morning.
Officers responded to a residence on Washington Avenue after suspects entered the home through an unlocked rear window.
Once inside, the individuals stole keys to a Mercedes parked in the driveway and then fled the area in the vehicle.
Earlier that morning, police were called to Hillside Avenue for an attempted burglary.
The resident reported seeing three individuals in her backyard trying to enter the home through a rear window.
When they were unable to get inside, the suspects attempted to access a neighbor’s vehicle before leaving the area in a black BMW 3 Series with tinted windows.
The Nutley Police Detective Bureau is actively investigating both incidents.
Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
