Newark Hospital Walk-in Shooting Victims Were Shot in Hampton Hotel Parking Lot in Harrison

Harrison Police are actively investigating a shooting incident after two men entered St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark with gunshot wounds on Thursday afternoon.

StemThe men, who arrived at the medical center around 1:30 p.m., were immediately treated for wounds to their hands and abdomen.

Harrison Police said the pair informed units that the shooting took place at the Speedway gas station located at 2 Passaic Avenue in Harrison.

Responding to the report, Harrison Police police units promptly arrived at the Speedway but found no evidence of a shooting.

After interviewing both customers and employees of the gas station, it was confirmed that no one had witnessed a shooting there.

Subsequently, detectives visited St. Michael’s Hospital and, through their investigation, determined that the actual location of the shooting was the parking lot of the Hampton Inn, not the Speedway Gas Station as initially reported.

This revelation prompted authorities to issue a regional alert for a black GMC Terrain, possibly bearing the license plate U84-RU8, believed to be associated with the suspects.

While police have reason to believe that the suspects are connected to the shooting. 

Harrison The investigation is active and ongoing, with law enforcement officials piecing together the circumstances of the event.

 Officials said the victims are expected to make a recovery and the suspects remain at large.
