Police in Union County has launched an investigation into a shooting that seriously injured a male during the overnight hours.
According to police, at approximately 3:40 a.m., officials at Rahway Hospital contacted authorities when a male victim was dropped off by private vehicle to the emergency department suffering multiple gunshot wounds in his torso.
Police were told that the victim suffered his injuries at the Cheeques Go-Go bar shortly before arriving at the hospital according to officials.
Detectives canvassing the scene found evidence that a shooting in the parking lot and launched an investigation.
The investigation remains active, ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
