Man Reportedly Exposes Himself to Juveniles in Two Linden Areas

Linden Roselle Park

Police are investigating if two reports of a man exposing himself to girls in Linden is connected to two similar incidents in Roselle Park Wednesday.

Yesterday, Linden police received two separate reports of a young man exposing himself to juveniles in the Sunnyside section of Linden.

In the first incident, which occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on the 2000 block of Myrtle Terrace, a small black vehicle, occupied by a white male, in his 20’s, clean shaven with short black hair, and wearing a black shirt, was parked along the curb when the driver called a group of four juveniles, male and female, ages 11 and 12, over to his car and exposed himself to them before driving off.

While officers were investigating this incident, they were informed of a second incident which took place at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Edgewood Road and Summit Terrace. In the second incident, a 16-year-old-girl was riding her bicycle at the intersection when a small dark-colored vehicle pulled alongside her and the driver called out to her. He then exposed himself to the girl before driving east towards Orchard Terrace. The driver was described as a young white male with short “buzz-cut” style brown hair, a dark tee shirt and bluejeans.

On August 15th at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 12-year-old boy was walking on the 300 block of Morristown Road when he was approached by two white women in a white Honda. Both females had blonde hair with "shaved" sides. The women allegedly asked the boy if he was "Polish", and if he played the "Pokemon Go" game. They then told him that they caught many Pokemons in the Sunnyside area of town and asked him if he would like to get in their car and look for more Pokemon. The boy then went home and told his father.

Detectives are checking to see if the Linden incidents are connected to a similar incidents reported in Roselle Park.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Juvenile Bureau at 908-474-8520.
