Detectives for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office are assisting in the investigation of a shooting that injured a man in Camden on Sunday night.
According to a preliminary statement, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 1200 block of Thurman Street around 8:30 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a seriously injured male suffering bullet wounds.
Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and the severity of his injuries has not been released.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
