Police in Madison are attempting to determine if an unidentified person found suffering a fatal gunshot wound in a location of the city was self-inflicted.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to an address in the 40's block of Winding Way at approximately 8 p.m. after they received reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious and unresponsive person suffering a gunshot wound according to reports.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later by medical personnel.
The incident remains under investigation according to reports. There were no arrests or suspects sought at this time.
