Linden Shooting That Killed 16-Year-Old Roselle Teen Under Investigation

A teenager who was shot in Linden a little more than a week ago died from his injuries over the weekend, and his death is being investigated as a homicide, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Tuesday.

Jarod Julien, 16, of Roselle, was pronounced dead on Sunday.  
It was shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29 when an unknown suspect shot Julien on Nora Drive just south of Route 27 and subsequently entered a nearby car and sped away, according to the investigation. 

Police and emergency medical personnel arriving at the scene then rushed Julien to University Hospital in Newark for surgery.

The Union County Homicide Task Force and the Linden Police Department are jointly investigating Julien’s death, and anyone with information on this matter is being urged to contact Prosecutor’s Office Detective Robert Henderson at 908-347-2686 or Linden Police Detective Steve Zevlikaris at 908-463-1257
