Police in Neptune are investigating the motive behind a shooting that left one person injured on Monday night in the city.
Officers were called to the vicinity of 257 Fisher Avenue at approximately 10:20 p.m. after they received reports of an injured person at that location.
Upon their arrival, officers found an unidentified person suffering a gunshot wound to the leg according to preliminary reports.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where doctors treated the non-life threatening injury according to reports.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
