Authorities in Essex County are looking into a shooting incident that injured a male in Orange Wednesday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police found the gunshot victim on Central Avenue in East Orange just before 8:55 p.m.
The victim reportedly told authorities that shooters fired at him in the 500 block of Nassau Street in Orange before being found.
Police searching the Orange neighborhood found a crime scene near 575 Nassau Street, according to authorities.
The unidentified victim was transported to the hospital, where he is expected to recover and the motive for the shooting is under investigation.
