Police in Linden are on the search for a male suspect wanted for a shot-fired incident in the city Friday evening.
Authorities said police were dispatched to Moore Place in East Henry Street to investigate reports of shots fired around 9:55 p.m.
Upon arrival, police taped off the area around the public library after they located multiple shell casings.
Officials say several officers were pulled away from the scene of a prior fatal shooting incident in the 1400 block of Union Street to assist in the Moore Street investigation.
In the Union Street deadly shooting, the victim was found shot multiple times inside a vehicle.
Union County authorities are trying to determine if both shootings are connected.
There were no injuries reported in the shots fired incident.
