Gunman Fires Over a Dozen Bullets in Late Night Orange Shooting; Man Injured

Police in Orange is investigating a shooting that had a gunman fired off over a dozen rounds of bullets in a neighborhood, striking and injuring a man.

In the second shooting that occurred in the city within a two hours time span, Orange Police rushed to the scene of shots fired that rang out in the 300 block of Elizabeth Street shortly after 9 p.m. where arriving officers located a male victim struck by gunfire at that location.

EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the side according to reports.

Residents in the area told RLS Metro breaking News that they didn't think that the gunfire would ever end as they fell to the floors inside their home, hoping that bullets didn't penetrate a window.

Police officers canvassing the scene found over dozen shell casings while they searched for other injured victims. There were no other injuries.

The suspect reportedly fled in an unidentified vehicle.
