Police in Camden are looking into the motive behind a shooting that sent one person to the hospital overnight.
Authorities said at around 12:50 a.m., gunfire erupted in the area of Erie Street and North 6th, sending officers to the scene to investigate.
When units arrived, they found shell casings and a person suffering bullet wounds at that location.
Police say the injured was rushed to an area hospital for treatment and remained in stable condition.
According to authorities, police notified hospitals in the region to be on the lookout for potential walk-in gunshot victims as they searched the shooting scene for a second person who may have been shot.
