Authorities in Orange are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shooting that sent an adult male victim to the hospital in Orange.
Fast police response to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 500 block of Chestnut Street a little after 10 pm had officers on the scene where they located the victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital in Newark where the extent of his injuries were reported as stable as of 3:30 am.
Police canvassed the area for a suspect and other evidence to support a motive for the crime.
**UPDATE 10:37 am** The shooting that occurred on Chestnut was shots fired with evidence that a shooting occurred, but no victim found. The victim checked into an area hospital and told officials that he was shot on Chestnut. Hospital officials contacted police.
