EMS transported one person to the hospital after a domestic violence assault left them injured overnight in Howell.
Police responded to reports of an assault in progress that occurred in the 100 block of West 3rd Street at around 1:15 am.
Units arriving at the scene found the victim suffering burns after having a boiling liquid tossed on them.
Police detained one person at the place as they are continuing the investigation.
