Authorities in Union Township are investigating a pedestrian strike with a person severely injured this evening.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to reports of an injured person at the intersection of North and Morris avenues.
When police arrived, they found a severely injured, unconscious and unresponsive person lying on the ground at that location.
The individual was rushed to the hospital with medics providing CPR.
There were no other injuries reported.
UPDATE: 8:15 p.m.: The female victim has died.
