Police are on the scene of a shooting with a male injured in Belleville at this time.
Officers are canvassing the Newark and Belleville borders for a crime scene after police found the victim in the 60's block of Magnolia Street at around 1:40 p.m. suffering a gunshot wound to the leg according to reports.
The victim's injuries are reportedly non-life threatening at this time.
According to the victim, the shooting occurred at the Stephan Crane housing condominiums on Franklin Street.
Authorities have not confirmed the victim's claim.
NOTE: There were earlier reports of shots fired on Springfield Avenue and Fairmount in Newark.
