Belleville’s Mayor, Council Invite Residents to Celebrate Three Kings Day

Belleville

BELLEVILLE, NJ – Mayor Michael Melham and the Township Council invite residents to come celebrate Three Kings Day on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.

It will be an afternoon filled with families, food and fun when the township celebrates the holiday at the Senior Center at 125 Franklin Ave. from 4-7 p.m.

The first 200 children will receive a gift.

There will also be games, crafts, face painting and a magician on hand.

“Since this is the first time we are commemorating this holiday across the township, we want this to be a special day,” Melham said.

“We are going to create a fun, festive atmosphere with something for kids of all ages.

“I would like to recognize and thank Deputy Mayor Vincent Cozzarelli and Councilwoman Naomy DePeña for taking the lead on this event,” the Mayor continued.

Three Kings Day is especially popular in Spain and Latin American countries, where the day is commemorated by giving gifts to children.

The event is being sponsored by Sanitas Medical Center in Belleville.
