Belleville Police Thwart Pharmacy Burglary; One Suspect Arrested, Two At Large

Early this morning, Belleville Patrol officers disrupted a burglary at the Good Health Pharmacy, leading to the arrest of one suspect and the escape of two others.AdAccording to a statement released by Belleville Police, the incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. when police, conducting routine surveillance due to a statewide spike in pharmacy burglaries, spotted suspicious activity at the location.

Two men fled from the rear door of the pharmacy as officers arrived, while a third, identified as 37-year-old Mr. James Lowe from Roosevelt Avenue in Jersey City, was captured following a brief foot chase.

Lowe has been charged with burglary and resisting arrest by flight. He was subsequently remanded to the Essex County Jail pending a court hearing.

A 1999 Honda Odyssey van, equipped with fictitious New Jersey plates, was towed from the scene.AdDespite the break-in, police said no items were reported stolen from the pharmacy.

The search for the two remaining suspects continues as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
