Belleville, Nutley Men Arrested for Gas Station Robbery

Police arrested two Essex County men suspected for several armed robberies in northern NJ.

Police say officers on patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop at approximately 1 a.m. today where the plates came back stolen from a location earlier in the week in Belleville.

Police say during the stop, officers arrested Mr. Anthony Carbley, 19, from Belleville and Mr. Keith Mcnie, 18, from Nutley.

Police say inside the vehicle were numerous items believed to be proceeds from other crimes.

Through investigation, detectives linked the evidence to an armed robbery of a gas station in Belleville on Tuesday.

Additional evidence linked both suspects to armed robberies in Newark, Paterson, East Windsor, Sayreville, and Old Bridge NJ.

Chief Minichini would like to thank the patrol officers for their proactive work and the detective bureau for their diligence in linking these suspects to multiple violent crimes throughout NJ.
