Police in the City of Orange are investigating a shots fired incident that connected on a man overnight.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of High Street where police officials say gunfire erupted sending officers to the scene.
Police say units arrived to find a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the arm at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where doctors treated non-life threatening injuries according to reports.
The initial investigation indicated that 2 to 3 suspects exited a vehicle and approached the victim before firing more than a half dozen shots in his direction before reentering the vehicle.
The vehicle did have one other occupant who is being reported as the driver who sped away in the tan colored car according to reports.
There were no other injuries reported.
