New Jersey traffic officials at 511-NJ have alerted commuters to an ongoing crash investigation on the Garden State Parkway in Bergen County.
According to the agency, the incident occurred shortly before 5:24 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Exit 172 in Montvale.
Preliminary reports indicate that this was a pedestrian strike, tragically resulting in fatal injuries.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, one right lane has been closed, which is expected to cause delays during the morning rush.
