An 87-year-old Fair Lawn woman was sent to the hospital with head and leg injuries after she was struck by a car Monday evening.
According to police, the victim was attempting to cross Fair Lawn Avenue at Radburn Road at the crosswalk when she was struck by the 2003 Toyota, operated by an 86-year-old borough man just before 5:30 p.m.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
The driver, who claimed did not see the pedestrian in the roadway, was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian according to police.
