$10K Worth of Jewelry Stolen in Bloomfield Burglary While Homeowner Vacationed

Township police and detectives are currently investigating a burglary that occurred in Bloomfield on April 30.Real EstateAuthorities were called to the 300 block of Hoover Avenue after a resident reported a theft upon returning from a two-month vacation.

According to the police report, the homeowner discovered that her jewelry box, usually kept in the closet, had been moved to the dresser.

A closer examination revealed that several pieces of jewelry, valued at approximately $10,000, were missing from the collection.

Bloomfield Police officials said two family members had access to the apartment while the resident was away, but no arrests have been made as of now.

The Bloomfield Police continue their investigation into the incident, seeking to determine the perpetrator and recover the stolen items.
