Bullet Penetrates Windshield of Woman's Car in Newark

There were no injuries reported in a shooting that had a bullet penetrate the windshield of a vehicle in Newark on Sunday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of recovery to property in the 300 block of South 10th Street at around 2:30 p.m.

Arriving units located the female owner of a vehicle who reported to officers that a bullet had smashed through her windshield and entered her vehicle.

A check of the vehicle by authorities had officers contact a crime scene unit after locating the bullet according to reports.

The incident is being investigated by the Newark Police Department.
