A shooting in the city's East Ward has a male victim down and police on the scene at this time.
Gunfire erupted in the single digit block of Riverview Court at around 2:10 p.m. sending police and EMS to the scene where they found a male victim injured by gunfire at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he is reportedly shot to the chest. He was pronounced dead a short time later according to authorities.
This is the second shooting at that location in about 10 days.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
